Lost in the Pandemic Maze?  Untangle Your Business!

Untangle your business and watch it grow.  After 8+ months of fear, confusion, sales drops, pressure and uncertainty, it’s time to take charge and Untangle your business.

Untangle Your Business

Assessment of the Tangle is the First Step.

Take time to determine what you want to accomplish and begin to consider how you can do that.  Whether it’s starting a business or deciding you need to change your focus and pivot to a new plan, as yourself the following questions:

  • How much has changed since you started your business or started formulating your business plan?
  • What have you tried over the years?
  • What would you like to focus on now?
  • Is there a need?  Does it solve a problem for your potential and/or current customers?
  • Can you untangle the mess, or should you start over?

Don’t just talk to yourself, record your answers in your business journal.

Don’t have one?  Download my complimentary Biz In A Bundle Journal and start untangling your business.  There’s a four-part blog series available to guide your journey.  But be sure you record your answers.  That’s the key to untangling. Write in a journal.

Focus

Journal Writing.

A Journal Writing habit doesn’t require hours every day.  Just 5 minutes a day will let you untangle where you are and get you on a new path.  But first you need to record all the basic data that is the backbone of your digital enterprise.

Biz In A Bundle will guide you through this process with spaces for your business name, license numbers, who hosts your website, passwords, and so much more.  And you can modify the information when changes occur.  Don’t just record it on your computer – print it out.  Use pen and paper to allow yourself to be creative.

Planning Your Path Forward

Planning your path forward isn’t as difficult as it feels.  But it does take data.  For those that are pivoting their business you need to determine what worked and what didn’t.  There may be a range from high to low of the number of items that sold.  The highest ones were those that solved a problem for your customer.  The lowest, not so much.  Is there a mis-message on those products?  Research through social media and google analytics.  Ask the question you hope to answer with your product and see if there are others asking the same question.  How many questions were recorded?  Do this for all your items.  What problem do they solve?

Business Planning

Knowing Your Why.

Now that you know your products, start planning on what you want to offer and why.  Knowing your why is key to being able to offer your products to the right consumer for the right price.  Again, write down your why.  Write down each product you wish to offer and who will benefit.  And finish up your plan with how to market your items and for how much.

Journal writing will help you untangle your business through a business journal and your company can grow into the new balance being created because of the pandemic.
