Build Your Business

Free Help and Training

Ms. Biz is a 4-part course designed for virtual or in-person participation.  Group dynamics lend the course to a maximum of 6 new or hopeful business owners.

The first meeting is a time for getting to know each other.  As your coach I’m here to help guide your journey and offer feedback and support.  I’ve created a series of downloadable writings that follow the focus of each of the four lessons, but factors in the branding process.

As we work our way through the course, you’ll hear me repeat “write it down”, “use our journal”, and other encouragements for your success, including “write your way to success”.

Session 2 – you’ll explore marketing, which includes Market research, creating personas and finding your tribe.  You’ll write your story.

Session 3 is all about numbers.  From start-up costs and pricing strategies to inventory budgets, product costs and cash flow.  Bring your journal.

Session 4 is an introduction to management.  Leading your team is full of challenges and joys. We’ll talk about processes and your business plan (you’ll have one by now and I hope it will be in your journal).

Then it’s your turn.  You will have 6-10 minutes to give us your elevator pitch.  You can pitch for our support, to ask for investments, or be a consumer.  And you can be simple or have a power point presentation.  Just be sure it honestly represents you and your business and follows the principles we discuss in the Elevator Pitch session.

And best of all, at least from my perspective, we get 2 hours of coaching time together outside of class.  And it doesn’t need to be just about your business.  I’ve helped a lot of our attendees with how to juggle their life with the goal of being an entrepreneur.

The June class is full and we’re taking registrations for the July class which will begin July 8th, Noon to 2pm weekly.  Contact Debbie Drake, our fearless leader on this journey, and get started today.

It might turn out you decide not to have a business.  That’s fine, but at the least you’ll be able to provide a quality answer to my favorite question –

“What Do You Do?”
